Heading to work on Thursday, I was involved in a traffic accident. Got rear-ended by some guy going about 10-15 mph. Nothing serious enough to screw up my car very badly, but I’m pretty bad off. My back injury from my previous wreck in ‘95 seems to be pissed off and is giving me grief. This is nothing some good drugs can’t fix, of course, but here comes the complication. The family is heading out for a 7 day cruise tomorrow. I’ll be doped up on Oxycontin and Toradol and in pain. I guess there are worse places to recover from an accident than on a cruise ship. Fun, eh?

The crisis intervention training is over and I’m now officially a crisis intervention / suicide prevention phone counselor. My first shift on the lines is next Sunday. I’m really looking forward to it.

All of you be good while I’m gone.
