We managed to make it through Katrina with no damage to the house. The generator and A/C window-unit performed admirably and kept the house livable while the power was out. Power died at 6:50am on Monday and came back on at around 12:30am this morning.

This storm has really given me a healthy appreciation of hurricanes. If we ever are forecasted to take the full strength of a cat 4 or 5 hurricane, we’re getting the hell out.
