Tropical Storm Wilma destined to hit New Orleans/Baton Rouge

Well that’s not exactly true yet, but the initial reports don’t look good. It is very possible that this thing will hit the warm gulf water and explode just like Katrina and Rita did. The 5-day forecast is pointing directly at Baton Rouge, which would be even worse news for New Orleans. For all the damage that Katrina did, the eye passed to the east of the N.O., which means they got the weaker side. Gulfport and Waveland, MS really got the worst of Katrina.
