Baton Rouge Tool concert sells out in under 30 minutes
Posted by: Christopher in PersonalAs i mentioned a few days ago, Tool tickets went on sale today at 10:00am for the concert on Saturday, March 31st. I had Ticketmaster’s site loaded and I was ready to pounce as soon as the appointed time arrived, but a work crisis called me away. I was delayed until 10:30am, at which time, the entire show was sold out.
I tried every query the site offered; “Best Available” seats, nose-bleed seats, general admission floor tickets– nothing. All gone in 30 minutes. Ebay has several pair for sale, obviously. So does Stubhub.com. I’ll probably end up paying around $400 for two tickets that I should have been able to buy for around $100.
If anyone has an extra ticket for sale, let me know.

That sucks man.. I ended up having to use the phone because Starbucks charges for internet (which is wrong in so many ways my mind locks up thinking about it). I got lucky and snagged a pair of floor tickets right at 10:00. I wish I knew you were interested, I would have gotten more. I know quite a few people who tried using the internet right at 10:00 that didn’t get good seats

What completely blows my mind is that there is a market for this kind of absolute aural CRAP. He made me go to a Tool concert with him a few years ago and I TRIED to keep an open mind about it, but screeching and screaming with no discernable melody at ridiculously loud volumes does NOTHING for me! My head hurt for two days.
Tool has zero redeeming qualities. I don’t know why the hell anyone subjects themselves to it unless they have some kind of masochistic streak. Honest to God, I’d rather a 24 hour Barney concert complete with screaming 3 year olds than 2 hours listening to Tool. UGH.
