Silent Lunch

Why is this such a big deal?

http://www.dmregister.com/news/stories/c4780927/22051897.html

My son's school has done this for at least a year. I don't know why it is only making new news now.

In the case of my son's school, only the first half of the lunch period is silent. Maybe that would be a good compromise for the pissed off parents in the linked article.

John King can not count

CNN anchor John King just said, with great seriousness, "Earlier today, President Bush said the five words the whole country had been hoping to hear. 'This was not a terrorist attack.'"

Very nice.

Paula Zahn scares me

If you reached this page via the google search, "paula zahn nude", shame on you, you dirty whore. What do you think the internet is, anyway? A huge repository for porn, neatly catagorized and searchable or something? Oh wait, it is.

While I don't have any pics of Paula nude, nor do I have any idea how I achieved such a high pagerank for such a strange search, I do appreciate you coming here to suck my bandwidth in search of nudie pics. Freak.

If I had to guess, I'd say Paula's boob look something like this:

paulaboobs.jpg

And now for the original entry ---

I've been watching CNN's coverage of the New York blackout and just realized something... Paula Zahn is a total skank without makeup.

First day of school

My son's first day of 1st grade was today, which is very strange because I remember my own fist day of school like it was yesterday. How can I be old enough to have a 6 year old son?

Is it uncommon for someone to remember their first day of school?

It is amazing and scary how fast time passes as you age. The longer you live, each year represents a smaller and smaller portion of your total life. I guess that's why subjectively time seems to speed up the older you get.

I wonder how much more subjective life I have left? If my life to this point has seemed like X amount of time, even if I live another 2X years, it will not subjective seem like 2X years it due to time dilation.

Damn.

Dating Gambit

The Girl over at GeminiGirl.net has written a piece expanding on an idea of mine regarding dating theory. It discusses the risks vs. rewards of "The Table" vs. "The Bar" when dating.

The article can be found here.

Pamela Anderson shot!

Breaking news!

Late last night, Pamela Anderson was shot after leaving a bingo hall near West Palm Beach, Florida. Anderson won $5,900 and was accosted by two men, robbed and shot in the stomach. She attempted to drive to a hospital, but fainted and crashed her car into construction barricades. She was transported by helicopter to West Palm Beach hospital where she is currently in critical condition.

Original story from CNN can be found here.

Granted, this probably isn't the Pamela Anderson, but the story sure reads better when you don't know that until the end. :)

Google me this...

A long, long time ago, back before AltaVista became an advertising-infested popup-fest (which incidentally was before it became the stripped-down, boring, but somehow still advertisting-infested shithole is is today) there was a really cool feature that showed the last X number of keyword searches completed.

I found something similar on AllTheWeb.

There, you'll find some run-of-the-mill searches:

drug rehab san diego
shaved wholesale soil treatment (?)
ping golf clubs
breast augmentation revision procedures in orange county
chin augmentation procedures in los angeles (amazing how much plastic surgery those cali girls are getting, no?)
ried knifes (sic)
nfl picks
video (nice, well defined one there)

....and some that are rather strange:

midget boys fastball championships 2003
stick figure fighting
pride fc
teen feet
lewis j.c. 1986 itbs cogat
infeccion orina
adolf hitler nude
space parasite
tiffany taylor rugby

...and some that just defy explination:

womans shaving head massager
poogle ranger edge mayo
dogg montres prince
liberty x-holding on for you free download song now
strategic human killing joke (they make those?)
chicken pox mattress pollen
nude frog pictures

Did that last guy have so much trouble finding nude frog pics that he had to search AllTheWeb for them?

"All of these frogs are clothed! Where are the nude frog pics, goddamnit!", he snorted before firing up alltheweb.com to satiate his thirst for hot, nude amphibians.
