Thanks to a bug in MT-Blacklist and Movabletype, lurid.org is no more.

While deleting some test blogs, I ran across this error:

http://www.jayallen.org/comment_spam/2004/11/critical_bug_dont_delete_weblogs

Not only did it screw up the permissions for lurid, but it also removed all of the content entries from the mt_entries table and deleted my templates.. The short version: I lost everything and can't recover it.

Wee! 4 years of blogging down the drain.

This is my fault for not having a proactive backup plan. I figured hey, I'm paying a host to keep my data secure and backed up. I can always have them restore it, right? Wrong.

Guess I get to start over.

Go me.

But for Movabletype and Jay Allen to release software that just doesn't work togehter is reprehensible. Hell, Jay works for MovableType now. The least we can ask is that his plugin doesn't cause blogs to get blown away.
